Ideal for precision-machined components such as engine blocks, transmission housings, turbine blades, and braking system parts, the OptimScan Q12/Q9 HD rapidly captures high-density point cloud data for geometric tolerance analysis by comparing scans with CAD models. It accurately detects machining defects, including burrs and deformation, to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Designed for stamped sheet metal components such as fenders and chassis structures, the OptimScan Q12/Q9 HD captures accurate surface contours to analyze springback effects and optimize stamping die design. It also supports full-size inspection (FAI) to identify wrinkles, cracks, and other defects before welding and assembly.
For injection and die-casting molds, the OptimScan Q12/Q9 HD captures worn mold geometry for reverse engineering, enabling accurate 3D models for repair or remanufacturing. It also compares data from new and existing molds to predict tool lifespan, helping reduce maintenance costs and production downtime.
